Hall No. 1 - Ladner
4645 Harvest Drive
Delta, BC V4K 4J5
604-946-7755

Hall No. 1 opened on May 25th, 1987 by His Worship Mayor Ernest Burnett. As well as being an active fire hall, it is home to Delta's fire administration offices and the office of the Fire Chief.

The area covered by Hall 1 is, south to and including the B.C. Hydro railway right-of-way, including 72nd street and 64th street, and down to Delta's boundaries and Robert's Bank Superport; east: to Vasey Road including the Vancouver Landfill, as well as both sides of Highway 99 to and including the Massey Tunnel; north and west: to Delta's boundaries. Some of the distinctive areas covered within these boundaries are: the Boundary Bay Airport, Tilbury Island and Westshore Terminals at Robert's Bank.

Hall 1 houses the most manpower and equipment of any of Delta's seven halls. The minimum staff on duty at all times is eight, including a Battalion Chief, two officers, and five firefighters.

There is one main engine, a spare engine, a ladder truck, a utility/air truck, and the Battalion Chief's command vehicle. The main engine responds to all calls (medical, fire, motor vehicle incidents, public assistance, etc.) within the Hall 1 area. The ladder responds to all fire and motor vehicle incidents (MVI's) in the Hall 1 area, as well as backing up Hall 2 (Tsawwassen) for fires, MVI's, and any other calls that come in while Engine 2 is committed to an incident. The utility truck responds to large incidents where refilling of breathing apparatus may be required, and carries any extra equipment that may be needed, such as additional air bottles, cribbing, and foam. It also serves as a post for firefighters to go during a large incident to receive water and rest.
