Hall No. 2 opened May 18th 1974 by his worship Mayor Tom
Goode.
Hall No. 2 protects all the area within the B.C. Hydro Railway right-of-way
on the North and extending East in a direct line to, but not including
72nd Street or 64th Street South and West to Delta's boundaries, excluding
Roberts Bank Superport. Some of the distinctive areas that are protected
by Hall No. 2 are: Highway 17 to Ladner Trunk Road, the Tsawwassen Ferry
Terminal (including on the ships), Tsawwassen Beach and the Tsawwassen
First Nations Band, Centennial Beach, and mutual aid for Point Roberts
if requested. |
There is a minimum staffing of three firefighters
and one officer on duty 24 hours a day seven days a week at Hall No. 2.
There are two engines; one main and one spare. The main engine, Engine
2 runs to all calls in the area (medical, fire, motor vehicle incidents
- MVI, public assistance, etc.), and is backed up for fire and MVI calls
by Hall No. 1.
